2005 Honda Civic SI Canadian model (American EX), 5 speed comes with the 1.7L vtec? And is the 1.7L vtec engine a interference or non interference? Do these cars have known problems? And what color do the gauges light up at night?
What MPG should i expect from this car? Would the car have mp3 playback through the cd player?

I'd say the 05 civic is the most solid civic that honda has produced as far as reliability is concerned. my shop hasnt seen a lot of the A/Ts go bad but plenty of bad start clutches in the hybrid. lots of compliance bushings, struts, and trunk cables, though. Oh, and cracked exhaust manifolds around 100k.

 

It was a rhetorical question. Yes, the sedans have blue/white. (looks at thread title)

 

#4, 01-02 sedans are actually light green when lit up, not amber like the coupes.

2005 Canadian Si sedan models would not have MP3 playback capability, US market Lx and Ex special edition trim levels had the in dash changer/MP3 player as the 2005 Reverb coupe had.

 

I don't believe Canadian Si's (4 dr) have the VTEC motor. According to my Helm's, just the coupes had the D17a2 (VTEC) motor.

In the States, though, the 4 Door EX's DID come with the D17A2
