Default header and cat bolt falling off. anyone else?

well ive had this problem before. my motor rocks back obviously when i drive it hard after awhile, the spring bolts on the cat get loose and eventually fall off. does this happen to anyone else?

any suggestions to stop this other than "dont drive it hard?" i was thinking in maybe new motor mounts? im currently putting down 258hp now.

thanks

i just tighten them bitches down hard, never had one of those fall out. now the ones at the end of the cat, they fall out when not tightened all the way lol

replace your stock mounts with some HASport or similar. thats what i have. vibrates everything. but its an R, its a racecar right?

use a washer on the bolt and nut that have grooves that will prevent the bolt from loosening you can also apply some locktite and even weld the nut to the back side of the flage to stop it from moving.

yeah i have been using just the spring nut bolts. they wanted me to use a flex pipe but that was 100+ dollars. springs bolts $2 > $100+.

Because these motors have so much vibration and because I use upgraded motor mounts there are a lot of nuts and bolts that tend to come loose.

I started using safety wire for these pieces.

You can buy safety wire and a kit that lines up the drillbit for the head of a nut or bolt perfectly to drill.

I think I bought mine from http://www.pegasusautoracing.com

The exhaust components tend to come loose more easily because of the heat and cooling cycles that they go through repeatedly, imo.

safety wire would be best, but i believe the stock nuts are crimped on 3 sides (maybe these are nissan nuts im thinkin about, lol, i dunno) or you could put another nut on after the first nut and snug it down (if there are some extra threads there.) this will def keep em from comin loose
