header bolts

Default header bolts

well i while back i put a set dc sport header on my car. the problem is when i got them i on i could not bolt it to the cat theat easy but after clamping and what not i got them on there. well that weekend i was racing one of my friends and the header pulled off the cat. not a big deal the bolt still there then the next morning i tighten them back down. that night i got on it again and the bolt did not just get lose in was gone so i went to wall mart at midnight got a bolt nuts and washers and ghetto rigged it is this wise

is there even a question in there?

all i'm getting is headers came loose from cat and you lost a bolt.
then you when to wal-mart to get another one.

instead of using the bolt with the spring and what not on it. i just used bolt and five washer then a lock washer the the nut to connect the header to the cat. Is this a good idea by not using the springs

I'd get a spring bolt set from honda, it allows flex in the system. So the catback and header dont get strained from being a solid piece when the car flexes.
