no im running a ls motor with ls tranny and auto ls ecu.the motor is an from a auto car but mated with a 5 speed tranny.i would swap the ecu with a manual one but id have to swap the manifold with a manual one too right?i can do the auto to manual ecu conversion but as jimster said ill still have to do a iacv fix.so my question is:how do i do the iacv fix?if you have a easier setup that you recommend then shoot.

You said you're using an OBD1 jumper harness, your stock OBD2B auto harness, and an OBD2A engine. Your problems most likely lies in your mish-mash of wiring. To start, you can use your OBD2B auto harness, but you need to do the IACV plug fix. Read this:

The OBD2A difference of the engine doesn't matter and your engine harness plugs into all the sensors fine.

is this the iacv fix?let me clarify this so i dont screw up.if i do the iacv fix i HAVE to use a manual ecu.can i do the iacv fix and still use the auto ecu without having the idle problem?
