I was looking into buying a bender from harbor freght tools to build my charge pipes and just mess around with it. I know I may get flamed for it, but with the hand pump ones is it a lot of effort for it and has anyone used one of these before?
jd2 just came out with a new bender the model 32. Its suppost to fit inbetween the model 3 and model 4. There having a special intro price of 395 on it right now. http://www.jd2.com/
that harbor freight bender will only be good for sc 40 pipe and they dont bend that very well.trust me i have used one and even on very thick pipe they make really crappy looking bends.they will not bend thin charge pipe at all.well they would but it would look like a cheepo muffler shop bend.

i have never tried thin tubing on one of these benders.knowing that it would make a crappy looking bend.i would think that the inside would crush in.not sure to what shape.if your doing charge pipe.just get some mandrel u bends.
it would be the same deal with exhaust tubing.its just too thin.once again this would be the right place to use stainless u bends or just steel u bends.that way you end up with a mandrel bent exhaust system.
