Yes. You run the risk of it ripping out of your subframe otherwise. IIRC, the stock EH3 rear sway bar is tiny by comparison--13mm.
doesn't matter what bar asr, beaks, or even a sheet of metal, you need to get some sort of a subframe brace to prevent your bar from tearing out your subframe.
ouch!! OP, you can either learn from this or just put it on without a brace kit and try cornering hard corners and tear your subframe. ouch...if you run just the lil 13mm or something, you won't need one. but you can get one for it for bling factors

so what have we learnd today?? the asr kit comes with the subframe brace the 22mm type r swaybar and a cool sticker and all this will cost no more than $$200.. plus the asr brace is badass you have to own one to know what im talking about, and you get alot of compliments
