B20 head on a B18B1
Do you think there would any kind of problem with putting a B20 head onto a B18B1. Probably not the smartest thing to ask, but im not quite sure, and friend keeps asking me the same question all the time, so i might as well see if im right.
b20 heads are the same as the b18. both are p75 heads. for the exception of the b20 p8r which will also work on a b18. so there is nothing wrong with using a b20 head on a b18 block
are the intake manifolds the same?? and i should use the b18b head gasket correct. also there is a hole on the top of the valve cover on the b20s(smooth valve cover) that the ls doesnt have is there something i can get to plug it thank you

try not to use the p8r head, its worth well beyond what an ls head is(you can sell it for more and just by an ls head and make some cash) and provides no extra gain to an ls shortblock. its used and hunted by b20 owners and the combustion chamber is 84mm vs the ls's 81mm which will hammer the ls's compression and hurt performance by a bit! it does have vtec sized valves though! I doubt yours is one but the even though the chances are slim I would check! the letters will be coded on the head above the exhaust ports!

B20b4 is a north american B20b, so you have a P75 head same as a B18b. Use the B18b manifolds and gaskets.
