I own a 86 CRX DX and it has an engine that i cannot find any info on. all the chitlons manual lists for the year is the EW1 which is a 12V Carbed engine and the EW3 which is the FI used in the Si. But when i looked at the engine id plate it said that my engine was a EW2 which i have no info on. Is the EW2 a High Output version of the EW1? I know that the EW1 puts out 92 Hp but i am wondering what the EW2 puts out.

 

ew2 will probably be the HF engine then...

 

Check your VIN.
If the 8-th digit is "1", then it's an HF.

 

Carbed 12 valve ew1 has 76 hp. The Si, or ew3 has 91 hp.
