Low oil pressure light @ low idle
*This problem is with a car I'm possibly trading for*
1998 Integra LS turbo (any more info will take me around 1 day to obtain)
Problem:
When the engine idles below 1,000 RPMs, the low oil pressure light will come on. Apparently the motor is a rebuilt motor, unknown amount of miles on the rebuild.
Any ideas of the reason behind the this would be great. I was thinking maybe a faulty oil sending unit, but of course I want more opinions.

so you haven't seen it yet? an easy check is to see if the oil level is full first off. could be the sending unit, clogged ports, bad oil pump...
I would check the bearings or just change the oil and look for glittery oil and check to make sure the plugs in the cylinder head are installed.
Yeah this is nothing u wanna take lightly. Get yourself an oil presure gauge and check that asap. If you got a bad oil pump ur gunna mess up some stuff quick and a kwik oil presure check is well worth the assurance that ur not gunna lock a motor up
