Hey guys, I'm back with my 94 EJ1 giving me a few headaches. I've ignored these issues for a bit since I was downright broke, but now it's really getting to me and with a job lined up soon I figured I'd take a look at maybe what's going on with my car.
My first and biggest issue is shaking. My car is shaking a lot, and I think this is due to a low idle. What happens is, I turn on my car and it usually shakes pretty hard, and I hear some panels shake, and sometimes it idles at ~900rpm and the car is rock solid. No shaking, no trembling, nothing. But then over time the idle goes lower, and any time I fully stop the car, such as at a stop light, it idles at ~400rpm and it shakes pretty bad, the steering wheel can even be noticed shaking and I feel it on my seat.
I thought maybe this might have to do with the IACV or my timing? Don't know much about either of these, but any help would be appreciated. Also, another thing that has been annoying me is the shaking as I mentioned. It seems like over time now a lot of the plastic on my dash shakes and makes faint noises of trembling - in silence these get very annoying. Any idea how to go through and maybe see what's causing this?
Mainly my concern is what seems like a low idle to me. EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE, usually when it is cold out, my car will turn on and actually idle at ~900 and there is no shaking. Then progressively the idle will go down, and the shaking starts. It's a BIT better on park, but still does the same.
Any opinions are welcome, thanks in advance!
Edit: Sorry about that, forgot to add some details. It's a 1994 EJ1 (Coupe EX), stock everything EXCEPT for the engine - it's a JDM D15B, approx 60k miles on it. Also have an AEM short ram intake. Chassis has 138k miles. Believe the ECU is chipped for the D15 since the ECU compartment seems to have been tampered with, but can't be positive.

No clue really, I don't know about a shop here in Gainesville I can trust, but I will look into it. Probably when I got the engine, about 20k miles ago. I've been neglectful.
How would cleaning the IACV go? Thank you!

Basic tune up = replace spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor. This is a DIY job.
Remove the IACV from the throttle body and thoroughly clean the port where air passes through with carburetor cleaner. There's probably a bunch of gunk clogging it up. This is also a DIY job.

I pretty much have the same idling problem as the OP.
After driving for awhile, when I sit at stoplights or a drive-thru or traffic or something the car idles pretty low and makes the car shake.
Problem is, I've already done the suggestions offered in this thread. It was only a year ago (or less on some parts) that I switched out the plugs, wires, cap, rotor and cleaned the IACV.
The other things that I could think of that might contribute to the problem would be the cleaning of the FITV, replace the o2 sensor and the cat-converter.

I'm not sure if there was any adjustment made to the ignition timing since I've owned the vehicle (93 DX), so I guess that is another factor that I could look into.
Have not done that yet.
From reading the instructions I'm guessing the car is supposed to shut off after disconnecting the 2P connector from the EACV, is this correct?
