i may be buying a b17 a gsr block for my car. is it worth it for my del sol or should i just go buy a ls motor from the junkyard and build it up. the b17a comes with everything except the harness and the distrib. is it worth building it up and will it even fir in my car since its 2 years older than my car. if some import guys can help me. if someone can e-mail darkirony@***.net

Are you going to add bolt ons, nitrous, or turbo? If you're going to keep it natural, I highly suggest changing out the low compression pistons for something a little bigger, B16, TypeR, or custom. Compression makes a big difference on the B17.

 

Yes the b17 is worth it imo, its like the b16 w/ a bit more torque and displacement.

 

isn't it hard to find parts, like just replacement parts for a b17 gsr?

 

from what i heard its pretty closely the same parts as they use on the b18
