I am trying to find a good spot to mount the evap purge control solenoid. I have it zip-tied to the intake manifold and i have been told that it won't pass the referee visual like that. Am I going to have to custom make a bracket to mount it to the firewall? Any advice would be greatly appreciated this is my first build and have already taken it to the ref once and failed because my ecu didn't have it's stickers.

 

the evap purge on a gsr is mounted on top of the IM

 

Is that the only place to put it. jdm manifold doesn't have threads on it. Can I have a machine shop put threads in the manifold? or do i have to buy a new manifold?

 

just drill and tap the 2 spots on top of them IM

 

i passed with my evap purge control solenoid zip-tied to the intake manifold mine was on a ls swap

 

I just made a 90 degree tab and bolted it to the firewall right behind the IM. I even reused an existing threaded hole.
