Default JDM front end does this sound legit?

a guys shop about an hour away from me is offering jdm front ends for integras for 1200 INSTALLED and wired up

i talk to him on phone seems legit
he went thru some of the install with me like welding in the new rad support and then wiring the headlights/sidemarkers

im going to go there in a couple wks to check out there front ends see how they look

He said hes done about 4 this week and takes him about 2days(usually 1 day) which sounds pretty normal

for which version, sir-g or black housing? sir-g versions are less expensive (vs black housing) as they are not 'as' popular

How would i know if its a replica? i asked him what colors where the jdm front and he told me he had a white one, black one , a maroon one, i was thinking these are real ones since replicas would be unpainted?

even if it was replica would it still be decent?

well if its a replica fiberglass kit then they probabbly get it at wholesale for 800 (for everything) and since they done so many they can probabbly bang it out in a few hours so a $400.00 profit isnt bad for a few hours of labor

id jump on it even if it is a replica (u can always replace to oem pieces as time goes on

i'd stay away from fiberglass replicas. it's cheaper to do it right the first time than do it half-assed the first time and then redoing it.

800 in labor is a bit much. you can do one of these in one day & it really doesn't look that tough

there was a thread posted about this guy saying he paints chrome housing headlights black and says they are original black housing.

i got my front end from total jdm in canada its a 98 spec oem blackhousing HID front it came with rad support, bumper reinforcement bar, bumper extension, fenders with side markers, hood, bumper with lip,oem black housing HID headlights with the weather stripping, and the rad support came included with hood latch, horn, fender brackets, ac condenser and denso radiator with fans. oh and oem inner fender linning for $1725 shipped and everything was mint not a scratch or dent not even on the bottom of my lip
