someone please help with my f*cked up BRAKES?
i just got new brakes about 2 weeks ago, powerslot rotors and semi-metalic brake pads, i forget the brand of pads but they were'nt cheap. they were squealin ,all the time even when i dotn hit the brakes. and it was pissin me off cuz it didnt stop like it was supposed to. i looked at my brakes today and on the inside side of the rotor it was.... i dont know how to explain it but there was a line around like half of it... i guess kind of like when there warped... thats the best i can explain it. i cleaned the pads off and the rotors and sanded the pads a little. i put them back on and they still sqeal. could i need to cut the rotros???????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????? please help its gettin me heated
Most likely thats your problem. However most places will not "turn" your rotors for you because their slotted. Shops often are justly afraid to turn cross drilled or slotted rotors since theu can damage the bit on the lathe.
Here's what I do. Assuming you have access or own a drill, buy a rough grit sand paper sanding disk that will fit into the drill chuck. Take the sandpaper equiped drill and scuff the rotors really good. Move around the rotor in a orbital motion creating a cross hatched pattern with the edge of the sanding disk. Do this on both sides of the rotor. Doing this will cause your pads to bed in quicker and the noise should stop. Perfomance should also increase.

Did you make sure the hub surface contacting the rotors was clean ie. no rust or corrosion and did you make sure you tightened the wheels properly on the hub evenly. You could have distorted the rotor when you put the wheels on or rust and corrosion may have made them not align on the hub correctly. Just some ideas.
