Ok I had my dc race header open in my 04 rsx-s. I got a check engine, then it went away &
came back again, I installed A'pexi N1 cat back and check engine has not gone away.
Help?

do you have k-pro? I'm guessing not cause you can check the CEL and turn it off.
Your car needs back pressure and it's not built up like a race engine to run open header. Go clear the code at a parts store or do it yourself by un-plugging the battery for a while and reseting the computer.

Yeah I had it open header for that mAd tYtE 1 HP gain.

I cleared the code, open header is annoying and it was only for a couple of days.

 

I remember one my old gsr the bolts for the high flow cat came loose on the interstate... i ran open header when the cat dropped to the ground...lol
