need valve adjust procedure for F22 non vtec one in faq dead
I need to adjust the valves on my 96 with an F22 but I need the adjustment procedure and the link in the faq for the procedure has died
heres a really good one for a b18. Obviously there are some differences, but it generally applies. the correct lash specs should be on a sticker on the underside of the hood.

thank you jweller. going to adjust my valves this weekend. What about replacing the spark plug tube seals, are they just in the valve cover?
Here is the proper method for the SOHC F22B2 valve adjustment.

As for the tube seals there are two sets.

Yellow are the valve cover seals
Red are the spark plug tube o-rings.
Didn't you already started a thread about this?

sorta that wasnt the original purpose of the old thread but I took the voltage problem out because I fixed it already. Sat I will be doing my valve adjustment and Im gonna take pics and make a write up on how to do it, before I even saw your reply I got my hands on the adjustment procedure off of alldata through a shop i used to work at. So im gonna make a thread with some pics and with the instructions from alldata. Thanks for you help though, and im thinking yes this adjustment will fix my annoying tick but do you think it will fix my bogging? My car recently started to bog on initial take off unless you accelerate lightly, it will bog down for a second then rev up, I kinda think its a dirty TB and im sure changing the fuel filter wont hurt anything but just curious if valves might do it.
You should find a snap on dealer or matco dealer and ask for the tool to adjust over head cam valves. they're like 30 bucks and way worth it. makes the procces way easier.
as far as the bog, check fuel pressure and maybe your regulator. Could be showing signs of age.

I'm pretty sure you can get them at any auto parts store for well under $40. You don't need a $60 Snap-on tool for the one or two times you are going to do this job.
