TOB, clutch, tranny problem?
I know this topic has been covered before but i couldnt find info on my specific problem. A couple months ago my car started having clutch/tranny problems. I got a new clutch and fixed the problems i was having. A couple weeks after that my tranny started going bad, so i replaced it. I have a ITR motor witha JDM b16 sir tranny now. So after the new sir tranny was installed my clutch pedal felt weird. Every time i would press on the clutch the pedal would raddle a little bit. So i took it back and the problem was fixed when they bled the clutch. BUt the clutch pedal still felt different. The engage point was pretty close to the floor. I thought nothing of it cause thats how it kinda was before but a couple weeks went by and the engage point went further down and the only way i was able to shift was to press it all the way down. So after that next thing that happened was shifting was extremely tough. Every time i would drive it was hard getting into any gear, i would have to force it and even then it would almost die when it was in first! I changed the clutch master cylinder yesterday cause i had an extra one and bled everything and the problem is still there. do you guys have any idea what it could be? I dont understand why after i had the tranny change all this happened. any ideas would be appreciated thanks.
if everything is bled correctly then check your transmission fluid... and for the new transmission, was it rebuilt or had xxxxmiles on it? if it goes in gear with no grind it sounds also like it could be the adjustment on your shift cable. ensure u have the proper amount of freeplay. too much will not seperate the clutch enough and cause hard shifting.
i checked the tranny fluid and that was good, the tranny has about 45,xxx miles on it. the clutch pedal has a lot of freeplay. it feels soft and it actually doesnt feel like it gets stiffer until i press about 3/4 all the way down.
I also noticed when me and my dad were bleeding the clutch the clutch fork or what ever that thing is called seemed kinda loose. my dad was able to wiggle it side to side. is suppose to be loose or not?
if its too soft almost squishy the it sounds like u still have air in the lines. double check the freeplay after your very sure the air is out. take a 20oz bottle and fill it with brake fluid about half way. take a rubber hose and submerge one end into the bottle while the other is attached to the bleeder screw of the slave cylinder. crack the bleeder and pump the clutch until your leg gets tired. have you tried this method? as for the clutch master cylinder i cant remember if there is a bleeder screw or not so u will have to crack the hard line with a friend.
oh i didnt see the last post. if the fork is loose theres too much freeplay. keep bleeding, i think u still have air, they can be a pain. and the fork should have very little movement.

did you put he throw out bearing on the fork correctly? If so, then I would say keep trying to bleed it out.
Also, is it possible that it could be the slave cylinder?
