I have a h22 swapped 91 integra runs fine until the check engine light come on. when it does the car seems to lag and runs kinda funny, the check engine light usally come on most when im going up a hill or gettin on it. any ideas on what this is or what i can do to fix it. any help please!

I just had a similar problem with my 91 Honda Accord. It was the O2 sensor. Evidently the sensor was telling the computer to cut the fuel back. It was actting like it was running out of gas. someone had cross threaded the sensor, so since it was not straight it was giving an inaccurate reading.

 

i had similar problem to motor is stock with intake, headers, and exhaust

engine light came on like last week and pulled code 8 and 9
tdc position
and number 1 cylinder position

i thought timing jumped but when the light comes on it feels like its missing
and i had a tune up done in the summer so i new those were good and someone mentioned to me it could be the distributor i changed it with a b16 dizzy i had laying around and seems to be working fine now.
