Clutch making a screeching sound.
Its a 95 GSR with a b16a2 motor and tranny. Just recently the clutch started making a screeching sound. It stops once I press the clutch down. Clutch grabs hard. Everything seems and drives normal. I just have no idea what this noise could be.
If it screeches when the clutch is engaged, but stops when it is disengaged (i.e. pushing the clutch in), then it is most likely the Pilot Bearing. This, along with the Throw-out Bearing, tend to go out after several thousand miles of use. It isn't really going to hurt anything, but it is rather annoying. The only real option is to pull the tranny off and replace the bearing; however, while you have it all apart, you may as well put a new clutch and PP in...
