Default Simple california smog question!!!

hey honda tech i just have a quick question. i search but i found 0 answers lol. anyway is having a fuel pressure gauge on top of the fuel filter legal? i mean will it pass smog inspection? im asking because i dont want them to think im modifying the fuel system. well thanks for ur help everybody.

No, I'm pretty sure it wont since cops give you a ticket for having one.

fuel pressure gauges are illegal in cali!! some inspectors wont trip but they are illegal and will cause a fail

yes they are illegal in cali but most places could care less about something that small... i've taken my car to get smogged with a fuel pressure regulator

yes they are very strict here in cali thats why i ask before i put stuff in lol. anyways thanks guys for your help save me from a ticket and smog.

Cali law is very simple, actually.

If the part can influence emissions, and isn't specifically certified as legal to use on that exact make and model (and sub-model in some cases), it isn't legal.

So, if it lacks a CARB EO number, it isn't legal. If it has a CARB EO number, its been certified.

Only reason I paid for an AEM CAI instead of some generic ebay knockoff. Its a $10 tube with a $150 CARB EO sticker.

You even get a ticket for not having the plastic cover that covers your cam gears. They said something about pollution.
