back from acura with another head ache!!!!!!!!
i just came back from rick case acura and they did anther compression test and it was around 175 or above they said it was fine and if you crank the motor more the compression will go up, so ok they said the reason the car was losing horse power was because of the cluch, so they said i need a new cluch, fine because i wanted to up grade anyways. but would a bad cluch be the reason for this much loss of power. from the stock 165 to the wheels and me dynoing at 152.5. i am just afraid that if i replace the cluch the car still wont be fixed. need help guys dont know what else to do???????
What dyno did you use? I have seen reports of stock Rs getting 150 whp or so in the past. A new clutch is not going to give you 10+ whp.
dyo jet....... do you know what else could be wrong or what else i could do to find out
You should be able to tell if the clutch is slipping by looking at the dyno chart. Clutches slip on the high end (generally) so you should be making close to stock torque on the bottome end of the chart and it should drop off on the top end when it begins to slip.
