Quick Question about Da cross member need help!

Default Quick Question about Da cross member need help!

well my homie has a 93'' Da and his axel snapped he had his familys mechanic look at it and he said it needs a new cross member, rear transmission mount,& a new axel to replace the passenger 1 that snaped what i wanted to ask was whats the cross member & if the axel snaped does this effect the cross member??? also the cross member is cracked on the passenger side so does he have to replace the whole thing?? cuz hes being charged 400 to replace all that and it seems a lil fishy to me what do u suggest he should do pay him or is it cheaper buying it himself? and whats the cross member for??? i dnt have a da so im not shure myself i appreciate the help!

I believe the GS-R's didn't come with a crossmember. So I don't know how super important it is.

Get a crossmember from a junkyard and DIY. Get the axle and DIY also.

Rear mounts a b*tch to do, but you can DIY.

aight yea i found out its located on the frame its alot of work but it can be done thanks and if it was my car id do it myself but my homie cant wrentch for **** lol thanx again

are you talking about the cross member by the radiator which has to radius rods that connect to the lower control arm (which is very easy) or are you talking about the subframe which holds the lower control arms & steering rack (alot harder)?

they do have crossmembers. all DA's & EF's have it. very important!

Edit: The g2 GS-R's didn't come with a crossmember center brace.

the cv axle does not affect the crossmember,the crossmember is there 4 support/
