Default My dc4 Project! **Project POS** Tuck. paint. etc etc.

Well I picked it up for 800, running but in need of some love. Interior was trashed, engine bay was just sad to look at.

How it was when I brought her home.

Yuck.

Bastard hit me in the parking lot! Maybe insurance money will pay for the new paint.

Before the battle begins(The stare down)

Getting tucked.

And doing body work

Made up this harness

Deep clean on the interior

Found this guy flying around the shop

Updates to come. Tell me what you think.

Yes. Car will be painted black. Today I'm getting the front end back on and aligned, should be ready for primer in the next couple of days. This is my first attempt at paint. haha wish me luck!

NNNOOOOOOoooooooooo............

black will be a PITA to keep the swirls out of it and keep it looking good. IMHO BG-33P is such a nice and unique color. If you did the 98+ front and rear in BG-33P it would be even more unique.

Co-sign this post. Speaking of, my black teg almost demands that I wax it with at least 1 coat EVERYTIME i wash it. Even when i do wash and triple coat wax it, it takes about 8 hrs of sitting at work to collect a complete coat of dust.

Well prior to my DC5 I owned a Granada black pearl GSR. I loved it. I know the work it takes, but it's just gorgeous. And as for the antenna. I'll have Sirius radio so I just shaved it messing around actually. And the emblems, I want to put Honda emblems on it. I think it kinda looks goofy with no emblems. And to the people that like BG-33P. Yeah I do know it's unique and more rare, but I think it's an awful color. Just my opinion, no hard feelings.

Even if you manage to get ALL the swirls out of a black car (which really takes some serious skill), it's like... if you even touch it - instant swirls. Almost anything that touches the car short of the ultra-softest of soft sheepskin wash mitts and microfiber towels will put swirls in it. Well that goes for any car, but it's so much more noticeable on a black car.

True. I've been thinking about other colors. Definetly not teal though. I maybe Championship white, or Horizon Grey Metallic. Or maybe Premium White Pearl to match my DC5.
