Gas gauge random issue
The last time I filled up (after a 360 mile drive) my tank only filled up about 6.5 gallons when it should've been more since I was on E.
I am curious as to why either the gauge is wrong or my tank won't allow it to be filled to capacity.
Any help is appreciated!

I've been doing some research and concluded wither the float isn't settling correctly or I have a bunked float. I found a way to test the float using a voltmeter but how do I find out if the float just isnt settling right? Is it as simple as removing the fuel pump from under the safety box and tugging on something or do I have to drop the tank (DO NOT WANT)
You can access the fuel pump/fuel level assembly by romoving the back seat in the 4dr, or under the storage box in the CRX, its a large round metal access plate and its fairly easy to get to. Usualy the contacts on the fuel sending unit get coroded, or the float fails or leaks. It could be the gauge as well, but more likely the sending unit or float. I measured my resistance for a member a while back, tank full and then empty, the thread seems to be MIA thou.

Thank you to everyone who offered help. After 3 fill ups the level reads correctly (settling issue?). Hopefully it continues to do so after the next fill up
