Default do all HF's have the up shift light?

i have a 91 HF with a b18 but i think they guy that had it before me change the cluster to an SI one... so....im hoping the harness will still be there for it?...does anyone have any pic of what i should look for, and is there a way it would not be there???

i have yet to see this 'shift light' and i own an hf and have a spare hf cluster

Its still there its just a dead wire going in the back of the cluster.

If your trying to get a shift light for a high rpm shift just get an rpm activated switch and change out that part of the cluster for the hf.

great! thanks for all the feed back guys! ok...so is there just a wire hanging around in the back of my cluster? ..i just want it cuz gas is going up again ...im getting 38mpg now...shooting for 40..and that should help a bit

Im pretty sure it gets its signal to light from the ecu so youd need an rpm activated switch and have to just wire it to that upshift light.

I wonder if you could use that shift light as a variable shift light or redline shift light. Anyone with ideas on this?

been thinking about doing it too. i would just get the si or edm tach for the corresponding redline of my motor.

it is possible to set the up shift light to any rpm, with any motor in a crx.

on the rpm activated switches there is a set screw to move the engagement point

Are you referring to the stock shift light? Or an aftermarket application?
