2000 Civic Distributor on 1997 Civic

I searched but couldnt find anything. Will the distributor from a 2000 Civic ex work on a 1997 civic ex? I am pretty sure it does but I just want to make sure.

Yes, it will. As long as they are both the original D16Y8 motor then you'll be fine.

Nope. The '96 - '98 SOHC civics used a large style distributor plug, the same as all OBD2 integras. '99 - '00 SOHC civics used a single small plug.
