My vote.

Honestly, it depends on what type of person you are. You either like to try things yourself, and enjoy the satisfaction of doing the job yourself, even if it does take four times as long and cost twice as much. Or, you're like me, and like to pay someone who knows what they're doing, have it done right, and know it's done right at the end of the day.

Anyone can hate all they like, my car runs excellent, so I could give a ****.

LET SOMEONE ELSE DO IT! If you F*** it up when you do it, you'll have to pay even more to have someone else do it.

I live on the East Coast but I've read that Golden Eagle and Laskey Racing are two reputable shops.

ill agree with gofight.....when i built my last motor i had my machinest do the bottom end and the head, then i just went and picked them up separate and did what i knew i could do to put them back. Ran across this thread on a search. Just got to say that everyone has to build their first motor sometime. I highly recommend the "How to rebuild your B-series motor" Be careful, be clean, measure everything 5 times, and be careful what advice you take from the internet.
