i was pitted next to the rx at etown, and the 6 calls for the dolly after they had made it back to the pit.
Front wheel drive guys running 4-8 pounds of air in the front slicks where they look almost FLAT shouldnt be allowed to run like that. They put peoples lives in danger.
Yeaa ooook......accidents happen. That was just a dumbass comment.

As I said in the Nyce1s forum, thanks for posting up that vid. I've been waiting patiently for it. It's really nice to be able to get another perspective on things like this. I'm the owner/driver of the Talon, and yes, I nearly **** myself.
I'll try to give you guys my perspective on this, for those that may be interested.
Waiting at the tree was done intentionally, because of what happened with that Rx7, which was the pair directly ahead of me. Since it was still qualifying, I decided to let the other car go first in case it got out of shape. It's a good thing I did.
With all of the safety stuff in these cars, and trying to focus on staying in the groove while the car is trying to walk all over, you really can't see anything to your sides. I didn't know the other car was in trouble until about 1 second before the close call, and didn't know he was coming into my lane until he was in front of me. You won't see brake lights, the car doesn't have any. But I did lift, hit the brakes as hard as I safely could, and swerved as hard as I could but only just enough to miss the other car by a few inches. These cars don't like sudden moves, they weren't made to do anything but go straight.
I was going right about 100 mph at the time, ~3 seconds into the run. I have a cool pic of the car leaned hard over to one side. If you watch the vid very carefully you can see the car nosedive when I nailed the brakes. The front suspension is very stiff in compression, seeing any dive is significant in itself.
I thought I must have still scraped bumpers with him, but post race inspection was clean. I took a few minutes to reflect on what happened, and went back up to staging for round 1.

I remember watching both of these happen, I was high up in the stands and I though for sure those 2 cars were going to collide, my heart definately stopped for a second.
