On my 2000 integra gsr 5 speed, I had to mill the head and it got approx. .006" knocked off of it. The cam gears aren't perfectly straight up anymore. Just a little off perfect. Well I can't seem to be able to advance my timing enough. I'm supposed to get it lined up (using timing light) with the little mark on the harmonic balancer that is in the middle of the other two marks. These particular marks are grouped right by each other as you would know if you were looking at a gsr balancer. I can't even get it close to any of those three marks. I'm just slightly advanced more than the TDC mark on the balancer.
I can't get the timing right. I jumped the service connector, which didn't seem to make a difference when checking the timing.
Just let me know. The motor is boggy when you punch the throttle quickly from idle.

Re-do the timing belt, you only removed .006 so that alone shouldnt make your base timing that far out of wack, I have .02 removed off my head and like .02 off my deck and I am not even that far out. Its a PITA to set the base on my car.

Okay, cams were off. They were retarded. Brought the motor back up on tdc and took a look at the cam gears and they were where I had originally set them, but after looking a little closer, I noticed that I had them lined up wrong by such a small amount. I guess it was just a simple visual mistake. The motor runs great.
Thanks for the replies.
