Hi, I've got a 5-speed 1996 Acura Integra GSR. It's got 177k on it. Last week, my CEL came on.
I had the oil changed today, and the light is still on. The tech ran the diagnostic tool and it came back as P1259 VTEC System Malfunction. The oil isn't low (was changed today), I don't have a VTEC controller, and the only engine mod is a AEM CAI that I put on over 2000 miles ago.
Does anyone know how I can fix it?

clear the light with a scan tool or by disconnecting the battery or you can remove the under hood fuse for the radio i believe and that should clear the light. and you should have vtec again. was the oil low before the oil change?

In case anyone was wondering, I fixed this problem. It was caused by my GSR burning a little bit of oil, and I didn't replace it, so the CEL came on when the fluid was low. Changing the oil and resetting the ECU solved the problem, and it hasn't come back since.
