Default B&M Shifter w/es poly bushing

I recently purchased a b&m short shifter for my integra. of course it couldn't come with bushings, so i purchased the energy suspension shift kit. As soon as i got the kit (which is apparently correct for a '95 integra), i realized the round bushing that is supposed to slide in to the hole at the bottom of the shifter was about 4 times the size of the hole in the shifter itself. Am i missing something here? Every thread i look up, people don't seem to have a problem with this shifter kit. In fact, they love it. I even bought a different set from another company and it was the same thing. I know other people out there have a b&m shifter and can agree w/ me in saying the hole provided for the bushing on the shifter is fairly small. I have also seen the more expensive b&m shifter online and noticed it comes with these small bushings. Is there somewhere you can purchase the bushings only from this set? I am totally frustrated and am wondering if anyone can help me on this issue?

The shifter bushing kit doesn't actually deal with the shifter itself, but the shift linkage.

The bushings you got replace #15 and #18 in this pic.
