b16 springs in a b18a1
got a quick question..one of my friends says its possible too put b16 dual spring retainers in a b18a1. im sure that you cant do it....please help me figure this out
well which are you wanting to know. you're cramming two separate parts into on description.
dual spring retainers is not one part.
there are dual valve springs and then there are retainers.
either way to answer your question, i think it would be no. when ordering them from aftermarket suppliers the part numbers are different.
the vtec springs and retainers design are different than the non vtec ones.

if you were in toronto i know a guy who could do it for you no problem but, there is machine work involved maybe give a reputable head place a call like RLZ or Headgames a ring and see what they suggest.
I have a B18a1 with a B16 valve train it works jus fine. It alows you to rev your LS motor a little higher than stock. My red line is at 8000 rpm and thats plenty for an LS.
Yup I only used the springs everything else came off my B18. All I wanted to do was beef up the spring a little cause I went turbo and it ran like a champ.
