Default help d16y8 swap

Hi, i'm sorry for being such a noob, but i'm in a difficult situation and i need your help. I recently swap my 96 civic hatchback cx old d16y7 into a d16y8 from a 96-98 coupe ex with the ex wire harness and bought a obd2a to obd1 harness conv. and I'm using a stock p28 ecu. Isn't it suppose to work correctly? However, when i start the car it seems to be sucking a lot of juice from battery and the light dim on and off, check engine light is on, and it idle a bit. What could it possibly be wrong? I'll appreciate if you experts help me out. Thank you in advance....

Did you hook up that alternator ground cable to the underhood fuse box?? Should be two slots with two grounds going to it.
