Hi Guys
The Motorsport guys in South Africa Whant us to all use
Engine Diaper for 2009
just would like to know do you guys use Engine Diaper
and how does it affect heat transfer ect
i have seen some catch trays under motors
but never seen any Engine Diaper
can some one help ???

The problem with making an engien diaper is that it has to be Specific to the engine AND even with that, alot of racers have different setups that can cause clearance with the mounting points and shape of the blanket.
The Engine blanket was never really Enforced strictly here in the US. Its hard to make something that can fit universally with every engine, turbo manifold, downpipe configuration out there. The best bet in my opinion is to get one custom made to your setup. We used Deist Safety all the time since they do custom stuff all the time.
You can send a template made out of cardboard or cloth or something that they can see the shape how you want it made.

i belive it was "NFJohn" that said it before, Taylor Engineering has a b series diaper.
we havent used a diaper in the past, but the catch tray's we run seem to work rather well, even more so with the "NHRA spec" 2" lips on them. the absorbant material in the bottom of the pan does an exellent job.
