Default CL Type-S rear sway on 98-02 Accord

I did a search and couldn't find anything. Is anyone here using the CL-S rear sway bar on their 98-02 Accord? I've heard it's a direct fit on the coupes/sedans and increases the bar diameter to 19mm from the stock 16mm. Does/will it noticeably reduce some of the understeer and front-end plow on the V6 Accord? TIA

haven't personally done it, but I know those who have. it's a good upgrade, I plan on doing it myself. It's not 100% direct fit, you have to order the mounting hardware from acura as well as the bar. but you don't have to make any modifications AFAIK

it's a direct bolt-on... many members of the Accord club in my area have done it... same dimensions as the Neuspeed bar, I think...

a must have for our tubby 6th gens...

i dont see 19mm as being enough. my little integra had a beefy 22mm rear sway bar, so for my accord i am gonna need something LARGER.

fits like a glove, but you'll need the mounts from the acura tho'

I got my whole set for 40 bucks, front, rear bars with all four oem springs 500 miles, i can't complain.

22mm no?

So you seriously think that a 19mm sway bar is stiffer than a 23mm sway bar?

How about we stop going back and forth and you just explain yourself?

Ha, the answer is no but tell me this, so a sway bar would always better when it's bigger?

i currently run the cl-s rear sway on my 01 coupe and i am happy with the money to improvement ratio. i called up neuspeed and ordered a set of their 19mm poly bushings with brackets. its a direct fit.

I'd say 23mm is better than 19, but I wouldn't want any larger than 23.

Bigger is not always better, by changing out your sways for a larger set you may introduce oversteer, or the ride quality will really suffer. I have the CLS rear sway and it bolted up perfect with the parts that came with the bar.

true, but oversteer wont be a problem since i will be using a 27mm bar in the front. as for ride quality, im hoping that it is not sacrificed. if it is, im sure it wont be too bad.

I have an 04 TL 6MT rear sway in my 2003, it's 20 MM. Fits and works great. Supposedly same story for the 6th gen. You need bushings and brackets, total cost for parts at the dealer for me was $50.

I just put on a o4, 6sp TL rear sway bar on my 04 6sp Accord Coupe. Very tight on corners and for $75 Canadian it was well worth it. Acura Techs were opening my hood to look at the engine. Guess they were impressed since nothing in the hood was involved in the mod.
