so recently i put a b16 tranny into my car. it was running fine no leaks or grinds or popouts. but i started to smash out alot with the new tranny. then it started leaking but i never had time to look under my car to see what it was leaking from. so today i decided to smash out before i got to the gas station, when i shifted to 2nd all it did was rev and it wasnt pulling so i shifted to 3rd and the same thing happend. so i pulled over to the side of the road and i thought it was probably because i had no tranny fluid so i filled it up and started my car again put it into first and all it did was grind. does anyone know what the problem could be?

 

Could be
Clutch needs adjustment (cable adjustment or bleed if hydro)
Pressure plates gone
clutch disk is gone

Or the gearbox has broken a selector hub.
If you have been running your tranny dry you will know.
Bearings will make a hell of a noise before they smash.
Then the input shaft and counter shaft will be floating around inside the box.
Then it will lock up at some point if at low rpm just stall the engine out. If at high will throw the final drive gear and diff though the case.

 

change the clutch and stop smashing if you don't want to replace your tranny again.
