I had a few of my cars on nitrous. Colder plugs would help and a punched cat . I ran a 75shot all day and i was fine. How much milage on you car....if you're getting up there i would stay away from it.
yeah i know ive got to retard the timing and run colder plugs to advoid detonation as far as a cat i dont have one ive got a 2&1/2 test pipe. ive got a 119xxx on it ive got a clutch and flywheel coming also
nitrous can be very fun, but at the same time there are significant risks. you should check out the forced induction forum and there is a thread about nos in there somewhere.
There are definately many risks to using it...so go boosted! haha jk OP do what you really want to
Also retarding timing can easily lead to quicker detonation
I put a 75 shot on my ls with a bunch of bolt ons... ran colder plugs, took out some timing and she was great, actually i loved having it, ran nitrous for 2 years an never had a problem with it.. make sure u get a full throttle switch, and have a switch inside your car to activate your full throttle switch.. good luck
