i have a 92' eg coupe. it has a 99si swap in it. also has a cold air intake and headers. the thing is when im driving and acclerate it makes this annoying whistling noise. and its really loud too. anyone know what this is? thanks

 

Bad seal on your intake more than likely

 

yea i was thinking that. so you think if i change the intake to a short ram or jus stock it'll be kool? cause this noise is loud like annoying loud haa

 

check your couplings on the intake

Lots of hondas whistle through the intake. It's normal. It's just the sound of the air flowing through the intake/intake manifold.

Most likely normal...unless you're describing some other whistling. It's hard to E-diagnose a car you've never heard or driven.

 

i have a 00 si and an aem intake on it. it whistles when i hit it hard. i put my stock back on and it stopped and then reinstalled the aem and it was definitely the intake. annoying yes, big problem no

what about when you get on it real hard and it sounds like a plastic bag wrapped around your axle?

buddy of mine has a b20v integra and it sounds like a plastic bag is wrapped around his axle or something.

 

when you get on it hard it kinda goes away. and it doesnt sound like a plastic bg wrapped round the axle jus a loud whistling noise

throttle body? the built gsr swap i did for my uncle does it. Got rid of the butterflys for an aftermarket manifold and stop tb. take off intake, and it still whistles...
