I have a 97 Honda Odyssey with 230,000 and going strong. I know it can't last forever, so I'm looking around for a motor to rebuild.
Do I have to get one from the exact same year or are there other options?

Are there any cheap sources of factory rebuilt motors?

 

look into swapping in an H22

 

Yea i would say h22. They are direct bolt. well i think you may have to get the tranny mount if you convert to manual. But any F or H series should bolt right up to the tranny.

or even better swap in the iron block f22 that it has stock and turboz it

 

Who says it won't last forever? I've seen that same motor with over 500K miles on it and still running like new.

 

I'm going h22a....but J30 swaps should be a bolt in affair

 

K-Series should work now, as well.
