So im looking for a new Axle for my 96 integra and I look through Autozone, kragen and Napa.

I notice a huge difference in the weight of different brand axles.

From Kragen - Cardone CV Drive Axle listed as 26.00 lbs.
From kragen - GSP DRIVE SHAFT listed as 17.00 lbs.
From Kragen - Power Line DRIVE SHAFT listed as 15.00 lbs.

From Autozone - Duralast drive shaft listed as 15.35 lbs.
From Autozone - Duralast drive shaft listed as 16.25 lbs.

Why the hella is the Cardone weight so much more?
Is it a mistake?

Besides that some of them vary by 1lb is it because of the ABS ring?

Please provide some input.

 

i don't think the ABS ring will weigh 1 lbs....

 

It's not 26 lbs. That's just an error. 15-17 lbs. sounds about right.

 

I know the 90-93 axles are thicker than the 94+.

And don't buy AutoZone axles.

 

that 26 lb piece might be the mid shaft and axel as one set?
