hey so i had a 97 civic ex. i had the battery out cuz it was sitting around do to me not having a license. when it finally came down to me selling the car i put the battery in then drove it to the smog station. it passed everything but functunionality. i think its because i didn't drive it long enough for the ecu to go through all the systems. well they bought the car anyways. a week later they call me and say it still wont pass. is it my job to still make it pass. if so what the hell is going on with the car.

 

in cali the seller is responsible for smog unless stated other wise on the bill of sale
