Default Carburetors for a civic?

someone told me that you can put carbs on a civic is this true? can i do it to my dx?

yeah, but you have to lower your fuel pressure to like, 3-5 psi.. eric, the guy with the rhd converted gold crx, used to have carbs..

ya alot of people have done this conversion.

its not uncommon. there should be sites that describe peoples setups.

I've often considered it. But if you cranked the fuel pressure down on a pump that's supposed to kick out ~35 psi, won't you burn the pump out? Do you remove the FI pump and get an external carbed pump?

what year of Civic are u talkin about? I already have a carb in my 86 and i am trying to figure out how to make it faster so i do not see the point of converting to carb in fact i am lookin at the idea of converting to FI to see if i can make my CRX faster unless someone suggests how to enhance my current carb setup

I'd think that on really built engines carbs could be beneficial, because there is no rev limit, you can tune them top run as rich/lean as you like, etc etc. Personaly, I'd never run a carb.

You need these in your 86 Civic. This is my 87 CRX DX. Carbed and double the factory HP. I was thinking of putting them on my 89 Civic Si...
