98-01 ls mesh tire size?
Can i run 205-50-15 tires on the stock meshies? Tire rack said 195-55 -15 as oem but ive been reading that either one will work but not what rim size their working on.
Ok sorry i jumped the gun asking this question, tire rack has some helpful tech articles. So 205-50-15 tires will fit a rim from 5.5 to 7.5" wide from what those size tire's rim width range is. Thanks

205-50-15 will work just fine, i actually just went from the 195-55-15 a week or so ago.
the 205's are actually more popular and you can get a better price usually in that size.

Yeah ur fine, the 15 is what counts, beware the tire will not only be wider, but thicker too, so you cant slam ur car as much. 205-50 is a ratio of width to height, not just 205=width and 50=height.
Not true. The sidewall on the 205/50-15 is actually shorter than on the 195/55-15 (because 205*.50 mm is less than 195*.55 mm). The overall diameter of 205/50-15 is 1.6 percent smaller than that of 195/55-15.
In terms of clearance, they are usually pretty close, with the extra width of the 205/50 typically offsetting the larger diameter of 195/55.

There's no such tire size as 205/45-15. If you're thinking of 205/45-16, that's about the same outer diameter as 205/50-15.
