Installing JDM ITR wheel?
ok i have NO idea on how to do this and i did a search. can anybody give me a step to step process on this? what tools do i need? and do i need to disengage the airbag? thx in advance.
ok here goes.
Remove the airbag (two hex screws on each side of steering wheel)
Unplug airbag (yellow plug)
Remove srs system (circular plastic piece)
Remove steering wheel bolt (I use my stock lug wrench, fits perfectly)
Put your steering wheel on, and tighten the steering wheel bolt down.
That's a brief overview of how to do it.

Before you do anything remove the ground on the battery.

isn't it cheaper and faster to ask somebody on the boards that has experience and is willing to share on how to install this? if you don't know or don't feel like explaining than don't post. this is why i love honda tech. cause there are people taht are willing to help out instead of just wanting to post a irrelevant opinion.

If you own the Helms, take a peek at the airbag pages. There are lots of details and lots of warnings.
And apart from the danger, many people have reported damaging the $150 wire loom when removing the airbag and had to buy a new one. The procedure is fairly involved and the Helms goes into great detail on the proper procedure.
Do you think that the average respondant on honda-tech is going to spend the amount of time necessary to detail all the important safety procedures? The first response in this thread did not even mention disconnecting the battery ferchristsakes!
