Default Newb question (gsr head)

So I have searched for a little while now,

But I was wondering exactly why a b16 intake manifold will not fit on a GSR head.

I was planning on trying it at the shop tomorrow and getting an answer, but I thought it may just be easier to ask.

Thanks.

not sure about that, but the gsr has secondaries doesnt it, anyone? idk if that makes a diff. i would think you could switch i/m's on any vtec head in the same series

yes the stock gsr intake manifold has secondarys where it opens up after vtec. But thats not the point. It just wont fit so dont even try it.. It would be better to just get an aftermarket manifold..

So it just doesn't fit because the bolt pattern is different?

The b16 and type-r mani wont fit the ol GSR head cause the bolts dont line up at ALL, it would cost more to fab it then buy a new blox or something.
