I have a gsr head....

I have a complete sir2 intake manifold with fuel rails and injectors.

I was thinking of going the sk2 intake manifold route on the gsr head. but I only have the b16 throttle body and cables. Will this work on the gsr sk2 intake manifold? Is there any difference from the gsr and si throttle bodies?

I am not 100% sure but will the dizzy and vtec soleniod off the b16 fit on the gsr with no promblems? I want to make sure...

if you have the gsr head, why not use the vtec solenoid off that head?

the b16 IM won't fit on a gsr head without some modifications.

the si TB may be a little smaller than the gsr TB, not to sure though.

si throttlebody and gsr throttlebody are interchangeable.

The reason I am not using the gsr vtec solenoid is because it didnt come with one... But I have one off the b16.. just wanted to know if I could use it or will I have to buy a gsr one. What kind of a modification are you talking about?


Its good to hear that the gsr and si throttle body is interchangable.. I am going to use it on a gsr skunk2 intake manifold.. hope I dont run into any problems...

the b16 one should work fine.

the TB are interchangable, but the si one might be a little smaller, not certain on that though.

if you try to use the b16 IM on a gsr head, you will have to modify it to fit.

I would like to use b16a intake manifold to save some money.. But I am afriad that after modifying it, the machine work will cost $200 or more.. While, instead I could of just gotten a new skunk2 manifold..

Do you think its cheaper to modify the b16a intake manifold? Or should I just get the skunk2 intake manifold?

i don't think it will be that hard to modify it, although i have never done that before.

i think you just have to drill a new hole or something. but the manifold up to the gsr head and see where the holes are off. that will show you how much modify you will have to do.

i have a skunk2 IM on my gsr motor. i think i paid like 250 shipped off ebay.

to answer the dizzy question: the GSR dizzy and B16 dizzy are interchangable.
