Heater not working?
I swapped my h23 to a h22a and afterwards I dont have any heat, do I need a jdm thermostat? or will a american thermostat work, also i think i need to find a control unit for my heater, because the cord which pulls from hot to cold is detached and i cant get it to fit back on the blend door on the box under the dash.
my second question is about cold start, in the morning or when i go to start my car in general after it is cooled down, my car is hard to start and after it is started it is like it misses when i give it gas til it warms up, any thoughts on what it could be.

the same thing happend with my heat... it turned out the cable was rusted or something like that needed to be replaced anyway. the heater core was also busted on mine which had to be replaced... it would be best for you to do it yourself as for the less mechanically inclined it cost about 1k to fix mostly in labor to get the dash appart. There was a thread about Q #2 but i cant seem to find it right now...
Hmmm... about the starting can you get a video of either the motor or the exhaust tail pipe/ sound clip.
It only has that problem when its cold start?
Also, It only misses if you give it gas while warming up? Or it missfires while warming up all the time?

The thermostat is the same in japan and US. If you had heat before the swap, I would suggest you bleed the coolant system. I would also check the housing and see if you have a thermostat installed.
