I agree, that is a good approach to help the sport survive these tough times!

"discontinue such frivolous rules as forcing teams to pay a fee if not using NHRA catering."

What kind of BS is that? lol.

the way i see all the loss of the top fuel teams is due to sponsoring now that nhra will only accpet, coca cola/powerade drink sponsored teams...there goes rockstar, and i think one or two others that i cant recall right now. its just a big money thing to nhra when it comes to the powerade series.

So.........is this news to any of you? How many of you honestly had no idea about all the BS?????? I am glad to see people agree, I am just really curious how many people were in the dark. May shed a little light as to why some Pro racers are not out right now. Just goes to show you can love racing all you want, but unless you are jizzing in the gastank (flammable jizz at that) You have to have SOME money to race.

Nice read, I liked this quote

"One of these days the racers will realize they are the show."

There has been a lot of talk about all this over on nitromater for awhile now. Lots of teams were struggling to keep up with the power houses even before this, now they are dropping like flies.

I don't know about that Pro Stock deal. Ford might have something down the road but right now they don't have a motor that can hang...and they aren't working THAT hard on it. Not hard enough to catch up.

i think ford sees it as why should they work on nhra business when they are practically above par, if not dominating, in nascar

BAM!!! he made some very valid points but as blind as NHRA is they will not make any changes until they see attendance is down, which like he said will be to late.
