Icon3 Broken Motor Mount Bracket Help!

So I went to check my oil the other day and noticed this. My passenger side motor mount bracket snapped! Now my motor is leaning like crazy on the passenger side, I sure hope it didn't damage anything else!

Anyways, I'm ordering a new bracket and I was wondering what the best way would be to lift the motor back up into place so I could put the new bracket in. Is it safe to place a jack underneath my tranny? And if so, where would be the best spot to place the jack? I also have a small block of wood, should I place it on top of the jack and then jack it up?

All input appreciated, thanks!

Jacob

You can either put a jack under the tranny and jack it up or lift it up with an engine hoist. Since you don't seem to have the transmission stabilizer mounts, use those holes for your lifting point.

Thanks, I was thinking about buying an engine hoist, but Id rather just use my jack if its possible without damaging the tranny case.

Jacking up the tranny will not damage anything. I have done that countless times with no issues.

Just use the block on top of the jack to jack up the tranny it wont hurt a thing.

thats a good possible cause for the mount breaking where it did....install a new bolt while you are replacing the mount

Thanks guys. Yes, I'm aware of the missing bolt. I ordered a new bracket and bolt that should be coming in today.

X2 I believe the missing bolt is the culprit for the damaged motor mount. Good thing it's not at the timing belt side.

Very well likely. I'm curious as to how it backed out. Do you think that I should put the passenger side torque mount back in? I was told before that they are unnecessary with aftermarket motor mounts, but I'd rather be safe than have this happen again.
