Long term effects of naked header heat.
Anyone living in a hot climate have issues with stainless headers?
Someone at a local shop here mentioned that the A/C will cut -off if it gets too hot...
Anyone ever have problems?

Heat concerned me a bit too considering how close the header is to the radiator. So I had mine coated. http://www.qccoatings.com/ Haven't had any issues for 4 months.
I still don't like how the header pipe goes directly under the oil pan constantly cooking the oil. Been thinking of wrapping that part but probably won't. I know Spoon makes some sort of thermal wrap for the bottom of the oil pan. When the car is in motion header heat is probably not anything to worry about.

I sent mine to http://www.hpccoatings.com but have not yet reinstalled the header...
.....the wires to the fan on the driver's side fan start to get "crinkly."

But since I soon plan to generate even more heat

since the naked headers will heat up the engine bay more then it is recommended to coat them or put on heat shields?
I guess this only applies to stock or JDM 4-1.
